It was seen that Microsoft's profits have remained desirable and its outlook has been miserable.
It is indeed true that Microsoft used to make a lot of changes in direction. Hence, they have prevented software obscurity for them on more than one occasion. Conversations with executives from a broad spectrum gave an insight into the matter in the past couple of days. All of them have their money on seeing Microsoft go down and that’s what they would want, but each suggests that Microsoft is on the path to resurgence.
It was noted that most of the companies that were big or small fought back to change direction. It was told by Clayton Christensen that it happened because the companies had planned to listen to their best customers
He also added that it was just a part of human nature. It is hard for people to change and changing so many minds would obviously be much harder.
"It seems likely that we can expect an out-of-band patch this month for SharePoint given the critical nature of the cross-site scripting vulnerability, which threatens sensitive corporate information housed on the enterprise content management system", said Alan Bentley, Vice President at security firm Lumension.
