Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty must think Ontarians are either really bad at remembering recent history or he's so "out of touch" that he's actually starting to believe his own rhetoric. How else can one explain his whopper of a comment last week: that Ontarians should have "a healthy skepticism when it comes to NDP math?"
While the Ontarians believe, they have been doing their part of sacrificing, and will continue to that over the years, they are unable to hide their extreme annoyance, on the NDP released, that suggests the harmonized sales tax (HST), which takes effect July 1, will end up costing the average family an additional $792 annually.
The analysis revealed that even if the new tax cuts and credits are taken into account, the average family would still be out-of-pocket to the tune of $470 annually.
Affecting 17 percent of the resident purchases, they will have to pay, higher rates on all utilities, gas, hydro and water. Exempted from the HST are newspapers, books, coffee, fast food meals under $4, diapers, children's clothing and booster seats and feminine hygiene products.
"If we want a better future to come, then we, as in Ontarians, have to vote the right people to do the job", says some local from Ontario.
"Unfortunately, Mr. McGuinty, we have to sacrifice your position as premier to properly balance Ontarians' sacrifices of today's generation". "At least now, less than two months away, you're admitting that we will have to sacrifice more of our hard-earned money", was a statement made by an Ontarian who refused to admit the fact ,that this state of havoc would soon be laid on them.
