After giving regular dividends to its investors for the last two decades, Power Financial Corporation's shareholders may have to wait. This is due to changes in the capital requirements for life-insurance Companies, stressed the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer, Jeffrey Orr. He was interacting with the Company's shareholders during an event.

It may be mentioned that the Company's dividends have been growing consistently for the last 17 years. A shareholder also praised the Company's management policies and the way it managed itself during the financial crisis. Many blue-chip companies had stopped paying dividends to their investors due to the crisis.

The Company maintained that it supports the efforts of Government to control the markets and also will support measures aimed to make the market more transparent for the investors. It argued that the current systems are working well and also supported the system of private-sector retirement solutions.

The Company was also very positive about the Government's stimulus measures and maintained that these were necessary for growth. The Company also expressed reservations about the deficits and stressed that these cannot be sustained at the current levels.
