After being removed from fishing nets and going to sea, the gray whale makes a comeback appearance nearer to shore.
Specialists speculate that maybe it's not healthy enough to carry on with its journey north.
It had appeared as if it would be a joyful ending for the gray whale of Dana Point.
Saviors had just succeeded in freeing the whale off from a mesh of netting in the shallow waters of Dana Point Harbor. They saw as it went into the Pacific, apparently full of renewed energy.
However, on Thursday, the whale named "Lilly" resurfaced near to shore, causing anxiety among marine scientists maybe it it’s not well or strong enough to stay alive.
Harbor officials said that an offshore ship first reported witnessing Lilly appear at the entrance to Dana Point Harbor around 7:15 a. m. on Thursday.
Spectators on the shore saw the whale numerous times during the day, seeing as it emerged within a short distance of stand-up paddle residents and revealed its fins as it floated several hundred yards off Doheny State Beach.
The gender and age of the whale is not known, but saviors provisionally christened it Lilly. However, others gave it a unisex nickname, Dana.
