It is not steak but sausage, which can increase heart disease risk. It is said that consuming processed eat for example sausages raise the probability of heart disease, whereas red meat does not appear to have harmful effects.

It is see that even the risk of diabetes heightens with high consumption of processed meat.

The study is based on a review and evaluation of 20 investigations on red processed meat and augmented risk of heart disease and diabetes.

Although, it is yet not definite as to this raised risk is caused by certain components present in processed meat or it is because of dietary factors that are as well linked with increased consumption of processed meats,

More research will finally be capable of clearing questions that are posed with the unclear conclusions of the research.

The reading had been conducted by researchers from Harvard Medical School. It was financially supported by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation/World Health Organization, the National Heart, Lung and Blood Foundation, and the Searle Scholars Program. It was printed in the peer-reviewed medical journal Circulation.
