Kelly Rutherford - who plays the character, Lily van der Woodsen, the mother of Blake Lively and Connor Paolo, on the CW’s “Gossip Girl” – has filed for divorce from her husband of two years, entrepreneur Daniel Giersch. Rutherford was also appreciated for playing ex-hooker Megan Lewis Mancini on “Melrose Place” from 1996-1999.

Rutherford is three months pregnant – expecting her second child; the couple already a 2-year-old son, Hermes Gustaf Daniel Geirsch, whom she frequently brings to the sets of “Gossip Girl.”

The divorce papers, which were filed on December 30, cited the reason for the divorce as “irreconcilable differences.”

This was Rutherford’s second marriage. Before she married Giersch, 35, in August 2006, the 40-year-old actress was married to banker Carlos Tarajano for seven months - from June 2001 to January 2002.

About bringing her son to the sets, Rutherford told Usmagazine.com: “We have such a nice set because people bring their kids and their dogs. It looks like we’re running a doggy daycare in the makeup room, it’s really something.”
