An interview given by Marcus Garvey, Chief - EMT crew revealed fresh details of 16-year old Jett Travolta's death. According to Garvey, arriving on the scene, they found Jett unconscious with a hematoma. All efforts were made to save him, even as a doctor performed CPR on the unconscious boy.
Garvey revealed that there was little blood at the site, which is quite consistent with someone, who has just suffered a seizure. Further, Garvey on his arrival, found no pulse or respiration, while a distraught Kelly Preston kept asking, whether Jett was breathing, whether the EMT crew were getting him back. Both John and Kelly joining Jett on the ambulance ride to the hospital, holding their son's hand, kept exhorting him, saying: 'Come on, Jett.' However, Jett did not recover and was pronounced dead on arrival by the hospital. Despite his grief, John Travolta did not forget to thank the EMT crew for everything they did to revive his son.
Yet, if TMZ is to be believed, conflicting details are emerging about the timeline of events leading up to the 16-year old's death. While, the Travolta camp denies it, the Bahama police says Jett was left unattended for 10-hours.
Though, the exact cause of death is still to be determined, Jett Travolta, who was on vacation with his family in the Bahamas, is said to have gone on a boating trip with his family and two nannies. On returning to their hotel around 6:00 p. m. on 1st January, Jett reportedly went to his room to sleep. According the police, the last time anyone saw him was at 11:30 p. m. that night, and it was the next morning his body, the caretaker discovered his body at around 10:00 a. m.
Several issues are being raised, after it became public knowledge that Jett had a history of seizures and suffered from Kawasaki disease. As well, the Travoltas belief in Scientology which restricts medication, is being questioned, as there are reports that Travolta refused to give his son anti-seizure medication, which is being denied and reportedly Jett was given Depakote, an anti-seizure medicine, till it lost its effectiveness, harming Jett more than helping him.
Questions are being asked, whether their son received proper medical care, though the Travolta family refutes these allegations, with a source telling Access, how both John Travolta and Kelly Preston 'structured their lives around taking care of their son,' and would not have let their religious beliefs stand in the way of getting Jett, the best medical attention and care.
Travolta, 54, and his actress-wife Kelly Preston, 46, also have an 8-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu. Their statement, posted on Preston's website, states that they are grateful to fans and friends for their affection and condolences. They write, Jett was 'the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for. . 'heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives.'
