Nescafe Recalls Instant Espresso

Due to possibility of containing some glass fragments, Nestle Canada has planned to voluntarily recall its Nescafe brand espresso instant coffee. It is being recommended by both the Company and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency that customers should avoid using the same till the investigation for the recall is completed.

The recalled product is offered in the market in 100 gram glass jars that are identical with black sleeve on the sides. The product has Universal Product Code number of 5500065052.

It has been informed that a lot of codes have been affected and that the product was imported from France and is currently circulated throughout Canada.

No evident harm to any of the consumer has been reported till now. The food inspection agency is supervising the recall.

Another recall order has been issued to the Company by the Food Standards Agency of Britain.

Nestle Canada has informed that to avoid any confusion after the re-launch of the product, the packing will be changed.

For the consumers who presently have the recalled Espresso product have been asked to inform and contact Nestle Consumer Services at 1-800-387-4636.
