Porsche Launches its Latest Hybrid Bike

The sports car maker Porsche is a mastermind behind the hybrid bike; it's the ultimate green machine and is called as the Porsche Hybrid RS, a concept mountain bike that has electric-drive assistance with a 30-mile range. This hybrid bike is specially made for open-air fans.

The idea of bike's power supply has come in the shape of a rechargeable battery pack, which resembles a water bottle. The battery re-juices during downhill cycling. This unique bike allows cyclists to go longer distances without risking over-exertion.

The health benefits of this bike are also shored up by the Wolfgang Grotz, Chief Physician of the Clinic for Internal Medicine II of the Alfried Krupp Hospital.

"Endurance activities should be performed in moderate dosages so that you can still talk at the same time," Grotz said. There is one more interesting feature in this bike is iphone, which offers both battery charging status as well as GPS.

Porsche has also decided to enter a GT3 RS into the Nurburgring 24 Hour race, and ended up starting 42nd and finish a very respectable 13th. It has 911 features things like ceramic brakes, one piece bucket seats, adjustable aerodynamics and a rollcage, making it suitable for racing right off the showroom floor.
