Oprah Winfrey wants balance, not food abuseNew York - Popular US talk show host Oprah Winfrey, 54, has vowed to battle her recent weight gain, blaming it on "food abuse."

Oprah, who recently admitted to tipping the scales at more than 90 kilograms, said in her website it was not about food and dieting.

"It's about using food - abusing food. Too much work, not enough play. Not enough time to come down. Not enough time to really relax," she wrote on her official website.

The media mogul, who was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, a hormonal imbalance triggering weight problems, said she was now "hungry for a balance," adding that she wanted to do something else than work and take more time for her well-being. (dpa)
