Funding Extended for Upgradation of Perth hospital

It is revealed that nearly $700,000 will be spent at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital attributed to assistance extended by the Hospital Infrastructure Renewal Fund (HIRF) dollars allocated by the South East Local Health Integration Network.

"We have been very fortunate to receive significant portions of dollars from the Ministry as well as by the South East Local Health Integration Network and we are extremely grateful to them for their support of our organization," posted Todd Stepanuik, President & CEO.

These investments directed towards up gradation of building and repairs are investments diverted towards patient care.

Brian Allen, Vice President, Finance & Support Services says that this money funded will be invested in both hospital sites.

The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital has selected 30 projects for this year of which 25 are slated to initiate at the Great War Memorial (GWM) Site.

The projects at the GWM Site features a patient security system, replacement of carpeting, window replacement, exterior brick repair, roofing, air conditioning upgrade and other plant operation upgrades.
