Atrium Innovations Acquires Nutri-Health Supplements For $23.9-Million

Atrium Innovations Inc. (TSX: ATB), a nutritional supplement maker is all set to buy Arizona-based Nutri-Health Supplements for $23.9-million, in an all cash deal.

With the deal, Atrium will be adding Nutri-Health's specialty niche products like probiotic microbes to its stable of supplements.

Nutri-Health, whose 2008 sales totaled about US$27-million, will also receive two earn-out payments from Atrium, based on Nutri-Health's 2009 and 2010 pre-tax earnings growth.

According to Pierre Fitzgibbon, Atrium CEO and President, Nutri-health, with its loyal and rapidly growing clientele over years of developing and marketing high quality, health professional-endorsed, specialized products, Nutri-Health marks Atrium's first acquisition into the direct-to-customer segment, more so because Nutri-health's values and objectives are completely aligned with Atrium's.
