The HP Mini 2140 PC is the HP’s latest netbook

The latest netbook by HP is the HP Mini 2140, which is very energy efficient. It should be noted that it is actually a business and education version of the HP Mini 1000, and will be presented this week at CES 2009 in Las Vegas.

It is quite delightful to know that it is encased in an aluminum scratch-resistant covering, weighs only 2.6 pounds, Illumi-Lite LED display which is also available in standard resolution or Hi-Def resolution, full-sized QWERTY keyboard, and customizable hard drives to fit specific needs of the users.

Furthermore, As HP wants to lessen the amount of energy used by the 2140, the novel 2140 runs on a low power Atom processor, that uses less energy and works more competently. It is also worth noting that Bluetooth 2.0 technology, integrated Wi-Fi, and a VGA webcam are preloaded onto the machine.

It seems that while manufacturing the mini 2140 netbook, HP might have kept in mind the professional workers and the students who might be using the notebook and so the company spent nearly 95,000 hours conducting research and testing their results to make sure the 2140 performed exactly as they wished.

"HP continues to enhance its portfolio of Mini products to ensure we offer customers choices that meet their personal performance and style needs. The sturdy, lightweight HP Mini 2140 integrates innovative functionality to keep on-the-move executives connected without weighing them down," reported Dan Forlenza, Vice President of the Business Notebook Global Business Unit.

If in case any of our readers want to check out the 2140 and the other HP products, then they should make it sure that they hit up their CES booth in Las Vegas. As of now there has been no word on pricing or availability.
