Use Moisturizer to Keep Wrinkles at Bay

Scientists have suggested that the going for Botox or facelift is actually a stupidity as doing away with wrinkles can be made far simpler and much less expensive by using a normal moisturizer.

A new study has uncovered that the way to have a smoother facial skin is to use a moisturizer, following the scientist’s discovery that dry skin boosts the speed of wrinkle development by a double amount.

Study experts suggested that women with well-hydrated facial skin suffer from persistent wrinkle development slower compared to those having dry skin, reports The Daily Express.

As per the study for a typical 28-year-old woman with dry skin, the amount of visible wrinkle will have raised by 52 per cent by the time she touches 36. However, her wrinkles development would raise by just 22 per cent at age 36 if she possessed a well hydrated skin, the scientists claimed.

The study, published in the British Journal of Dermatology involved 122 women aged between 10 and 72 and principal scientist for cosmetic giant Olay.

Dr. Greg Hillebrand, the study lead, quoted, “The results suggest that the quality of the stratum corneum – the skin’s outer layer – can profoundly affect the rate at which expression or temporary lines will turn into persistent wrinkles”.
