“I Wanted to be a Cool Mom”, says Heigi

Katherine Heigl who married musician Josh Kelley, left her starring role on Grey's Anatomy and became a mother, likes changes, she says.

The past three years had been filled with new adventures for the actress.

"I do like change. That's the one thing exciting about me. I like going on location for films. I like new characters. I change my look a lot. But roller coasters are as adventurous as I get”, says Heigi, 31.

It's a different story for Heigl's character Jen in Killers. The romantic comedy/action thriller stars Ashton Kutcher, as a trained killer who falls for a normal girl played by Heigi.

Jen is kind of dorky, says Heigi, who is currently a brunette but is a blonde in the film. Recalling some things about the character she states that, she doesn't know she's dorky. She has a moment when she tries to be sophisticated, and then she gives up.

Heigl says her perspective has changed ‘in a good way’ since September, when she and her husband adopted Naleigh, a 10-month-old girl from South Korea.

The past six months have been life-altering, Heigl grins, and she is a sappy mom now, though she never wanted to be one. She always thought she would be as cool mom who keeps everything in perspective.
