Wind Mobile has seen a launch in Vancouver on Thursday with a queue of people waiting outside its Yaletown store, looking for lower-cost wireless service.
I'm going to be a new Wind customer, said Winston Yuen, who was at the Davie Street location, where Wind Chairman, Tony Lacavera made announcement that Vancouver marks the sixth city in the new wireless entrant's launch across Canada.
Wind is very flexible and consumer friendly, so it is anticipated to be a hit here.
Lacavera told a news conference that his corporation is doing just that, regardless of getting criticized over dropped calls and other service problems.
He said in a speech at the entrance to a new store that is marked by a statue honoring of the company's social media stalwarts that the company is more than happy to enter this region and also said that consumers of Wind are the real heroes who have been making huge contributions with their view of what a wireless company's assistance should be.
He also said that consumers here seem to have liked the services and greeting the company wholeheartedly.
The company's lowest cost talk plan begins at $15 a month, now $7.50 with the 50% discount.
