The search for the perfect dress to dazzle the red carpet of the MTV Movie Awards is on.

After being tapped to be the MTV News' guest correspondent for the Movie Awards on Sunday, Snooki is fervently on the lookout for 'that perfect dress'.

The 'Jersey Shore' star needs to find the right dress as she would be seen next to some Hollywood's biggest stars.

As the 'Princess of Pouf' kick started her shopping spree, the media is in frenzy.

Reports claim that at first Snooki tried on a fuchsia minidress that completed with sequined fringe. She lovingly referred that dress as 'Avatar' hairs'.

How can the spree not include the 'little black dress'?

The star next tried on the classic little black dress complete with sequins. It's a sure shot wardrobe hit as one cannot go wrong with an LBD.

However, the star disagreed. She explained that, "The sequins are really big; I look like a walking disco ball. Other than that, I like the black. I feel like I look somewhat elegant. It could be a guidette dress ... as long as I have that attitude as a guidette, then I can rock it".

Reports claim that the star came close to choosing the fourth pick, which was a little white dress embellished with multicolored sparkles.

Seeing the dress, Snooki remarked that, it felt like it could be just right.
