Practically everybody is of the thought that Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple is going to launch a new edition of its hugely popular smartphone at the WWDC. The iPhone is widely expected to be the celebrity of the show.

Apple was quite angry a lot of weeks ago, when the tech blog Gizmodo published images and video of what it said was a sample iPhone 4G that was left by an Apple engineer in a Silicon Valley beer garden.

The conservative wisdom, as spoken by Gartner Analyst, Ken Dulaney, is that the Gizmodo-obtained sample will almost certainly be more or less matching to any new iPhone Apple exposes at the WWDC.
