The acclaimed Indian drug maker, Aurobindo Pharma Limited, has finally secured approval from Health Canada, a department of the Canadian government with responsibility for national public health, for its abbreviated new drug submission Gabapentin capsules.
This is Aurobindo's 6th product approval from Health Canada and its approval covers doses in 100mg, 300mg and 400mg strengths.
Gabapentin capsule is the generic equivalent of Pfizer Canada Inc's Neurontin capsules, which falls under the central nervous system (CNS) segment indicated for the treatment of seizures in patients diagnosed with epilepsy.
