The task forces of the National Commission on Higher Education and Research and National Council on Human Resource for Health are determining the best way to ensure that connectivity between the two institutions is maintained in the move of shifting the medical education under them.
This concern aroused after the officials of the two task forces conclude that the institutes are different on the basis of cultures, in a meeting held today.
"If we have two boards, we can have common members. It will serve the purpose", said an official.
The bills presented by the NCHER and the NCHRH are different, as the former aims at turning the universities independent, while the latter demands control on hospital and medical organizations.
The bodies will be formed after the passing of two legislations in the parliament.
One of the members of the task forces told that the teams have been trying to develop an organized approach between the two in order to improve the educational status in the country and focus more on the requirements in medical education.
To maintain the connection between the two institutions, some of the members suggest appointing common member in the institutions.
