A new study has revealed the communication between the children and their parents shape up their sensitivity towards gender stereotypical behavior. It examined as many as 80 families.
The interaction between the parents and their children was captured in the form of videos, while they were at play and when taking evening breakfast.
Eric Lindsey from Penn State Berks in the US and his team noted that the communication in most of the video was based on the framework. However, difference in talks at the child's end was found to be very less in terms of gender.
The researchers also found that the behavior of the mothers' and fathers' were typically different, while they were at play in comparison with the breakfast chat.
The study hence, forms the basis of the fact the males are often n more aggressive while females are understanding and adjustable.
"It would appear that children in the same family have different experiences in their play interactions with their mothers and fathers", they quoted.
They further said that this difference in the context of communication among the children and parents gives way to the development of gender perceptions in the kids.
