According to the Heritage Foundation, "the 987- Page American Power Pact" aims to decrease the levels of carbon dioxide emissions by 80%, till 2050. House version also passed the same objective in the Bill, last year.
Heritage Foundation has noted that global warming concerns have added a lot more to the people's insecurity on the issue. The incorrect report by IPCC also created the controversy. According to some experts, global warming is an issue blown out of proportion, and all the unnecessary restrictions are imposed on the people in that regard.
The APA Bill has also added one more problem for the citizens of the country. The tax added by the bill, would decrease the income, reduce jobs and as a result, the economy of the country will shrink. According to the Heritage Foundation, these types of restrictions in no case would save people from energy costs, and there would be hardly any improvement in the environment.
All these efforts by the Government are made to keep a check on the CO2 emission, as this is a gas vital for life on earth. CO2 is a part and parcel for plants as oxygen is for humans; in that case efforts to reduce carbon dioxide emissions are not comprehendible.
Most of greenhouse gases in one way or the other support life, so the Bill in the Congress to contract the emission of this gas, would affect the life on earth, leave the bad effect of global warming alone.
