A surprise raid was conducted on Bhaskar Medical College by the Central Bureau of Investigation. The raid was conducted early morning on the medical college. It was after the reports were received by the CBI that the medical college was disregarding various provisions of the Medical Council of India (MCI). There were also reports that the college had received undue favors from the arrested MCI Chief, Ketan Desai.

It was confirmed by CBI that the raid was a part of the investigation by the CBI into various irregularities committed by medical colleges across the country.

The CBI had also arrested MCI Chief, Ketan Desai in April over corruption charges and giving undue favors to medical colleges.

It was confirmed that CBI that they had taken some college records and documents into their custody as part of the investigation. They revealed that further investigation will be going on and no one has been arrested till now from the college.

Sources confirmed that more information will emerge in the coming days after the agency completes its investigation.
