The region was made famous by the Klondike gold rush of 1898. Whitehorse is the ideal place to start the journey. The chance of riding on Yukon Route should not be missed, which is one of the world’s oldest narrow-gauge railways. These trains have been running since the Gold Rush times and still remain popular.
Dawson City is also a great place to visit and one can witness amazing scenery on the way there. However, there are very few places to eat and get fuel, so it is better to be prepared and pack in everything one needs.
