The Japanese police is said to have arrested a 14-year-old boy for purportedly infringing exclusive rights, by uploading photographed pages of the not yet released "manga" cartoons on YouTube.
The boy, a minor, whose name has not been revealed, is said to have created a slide show of cartoon pages and uploaded them on the video-sharing website. The cartoon show has yet not been officially made public.
The teenager then asked the Internet users to check out the descriptions on his Twitter micro blog. He had uploaded 118 episodes of about 30 cartoon titles.
A network-security Company, ‘Network Agent’ said “Videos that infringe on copyrights have become a big problem on YouTube. America-based Google manages the site and has dealt with copyright infringement by deleting offending movies in response to requests by copyright holders, but there may be some malicious repeat offenders who won't listen to warnings”.
The police are trying to find out how he acquired the manga images, prior to its official release.
The desecrated titles incorporated the popular cartoon "One Piece", an escapade story of a 17-year-old boy who navigates round the world to suit a pirate king.
