In a recent report, Edward Bonham Carter came closer to replacing his sister in the family’s wealth list. Edward is the brother of actress Helena Burton.

Not only does he have a famous sister but he boasts of a famous lineage as well.

He is the great-grandson of the former Lord Asquith, the Liberal Prime Minister. He is also the grandson of a world war hero who was successful in rescuing many Jews from the concentration camps of the Nazis, whose name was Eduardo Propper de Callejón.

Actress Helena is married to Tim Burton who is a film director. Their joint worth is approximately £50m.

Yesterday, Jupiter Fund Management witnessed a huge profit and consequently Edward’s 3.5% share in the Company is worth £26m.

His latest wealth will give a tough competition to his sister and her husband. Their father, Bonham Carter got a share of around £3m in Jupiter. Yesterday, the cost of the shares was 165p per share and the firm has gained £220m, which will be used to clear the debt.

Helena has recently played the role of the Red Queen in Alice in Wonderland, a book written by Lewis Carroll. The film was directed by Burton.
