According to a recent report, Videotron has launched a new Web portal by the name illicoweb tv. The cable operator will also unravel many other interesting plans this year.

The customers of the Company include Internet and digital subscribers. The new web portal will provide the customers with 32 TV channels in two languages i. e. English and French, free of cost.

illicoweb tv also provides them other things like concerts and karaoke and a digital radio.

Videotron's General Manager of Corporate Communications, Marc Labelle, revealed that the customers will have to verify their identification on the safe site by putting a secure code. The customers will also be required to give personal profile information on the site. Also, they will have to give both the information every time they log on to the site.

Mr. Labelle disclosed that that if the customers use the sign-in page every time, it is safer than having a single sign on the verification process. He further added that the Company is equipped with bandwidth caps, which ensure that the customers are finally timed out in case they don't remember switching off the service from their PC's.

Mr. Labelle also disclosed that the Company is trying to devise e-mail reminders or other types of warnings, when the usage exceeds above a certain amount.
