Sense of Direction is Natural

A study has established that not everyone has the correct sense of direction, whether admitted or not. Even, small baby rats have a well developed sense of direction and they know how to navigate their way. It has been discovered that this sense is developed at a much earlier age than was earlier known.

It also disputes the fact that all the sense of space is learned. The study points out that some sense of space is natural and we are born with it. This sense is developed even before our eyes are developed completely. It can be safely assumed that we are born with a natural sense of space.

As part of this study, researchers recorded rat's neuronal firings after the new rat pups were born and opened their eyes. They started to explore their surroundings as soon as they opened their eyes, after birth. The researchers were surprised to find adult-level cell function in these rat pups.

It was found that these rats had not yet any chance to explore anything beyond their surroundings. Since the development of mammalian hippocampus is consistent in various species, these findings will also be applicable to human beings.

The study that other talents like face perception or language use are also natural. Health experts are very excited with this study.
