She has now been assigned the job of encouraging more and more people to avail the travel services online. She will be listing the most economical travel packages for the people, on the website.

"Bridging the digital divide was a key economic priority. There are more than 10 million adults in this country who have never used the internet", said Lane Fox.

She added that she will put in the best of her efforts in involving these detached youth to the online services.

Lane further said that the greatest disadvantage that these deprived people are suffering is that they pay as much as £560 extra every year, which can easily be saved by the online access.

If more and more transactions are brought online, it will enable the Government to avoid spending heavy amounts on paper or phone.
