Edmonton to Open Dinosaur Park in July

The Edmonton Government will bring in as many as 40 dinosaurs to a Jurassic Forest, which has been scheduled to be inaugurated this July.

The forest will essentially be an educational and entertainment hub, consisting of 40 animatronics i. e., the huge dinosaurs.

They will be positioned at a distance of two kilometers from the visitor pathway.

The park extends over nearly 40 acres of land area, in the outskirts of Gibbons, surrounding Goose Hummock Golf Resort.

Accompanied by wooden palisades around, the park will also have an interpretive centre, as well as, a gift store at its inauguration.

Park General Manager, Greg Suess, said the visitors will in a way interact with these dinosaurs.

“This is an equal combination of entertainment and education. We are not here simply to entertain families and the kids. We want them to walk with knowledge”, he added.

The park has been funded by an Alberta business group. Suess appreciated the efforts of the investor group, saying that the endeavor will be a success in the province.

On Thursday, as many as 25 dinosaurs were brought to the park. The remaining 15 will be brought in on Friday.
