In order to enhance some clarity between two callers, a high definition voice technology is being trailed on by Orange. This trail has already hit the places like Bristol, Reading and Southampton and is now planning its best to emerge in the UK on the entire Orange mobile network, by the end of this summer.
Orange, in a statement, said, “The service will introduce a new era for mobile communications and a new standard for the telecoms industry, making the callers sound as if they're only a few meters away, rather than hundreds of miles”.
It wanted to add on to this exclusive feature that makes the voice so clear on the network, making the callers feel, as if they were sitting in a same room, thus it "virtually eliminates" the space between them. The accomplishment of this trait has been made by not stirring the network at all.
The Company rather went up to exploit a broader bandwidth of 50-7000Hz, whereas the usual bandwidth is 300-3400Hz. It also modified it with a new Wideband Adaptive Multi-Rate speech codec. This service is in play in the region of Moldova, and thus it isn’t the first time when it is in action to endeavor the HD voice.
