An investigation into the case of dead new-born on the Gold Coast has heard the 33-year-old mother saying that she felt that she was not given ample advice by her supervising doctor.
The baby girl died soon after her birth at the John Flynn Private Hospital in November 2008.
Her mother has informed the Southport Coroners Court that during her long and difficult labor, the supervising obstetrician was unwilling to take charge of the deteriorating situation.
She says that the doctor finally did a ventouse or suction cap extraction but the baby died a short time later.
