The broadcaster of pioneering TV shows like Gossip Girl and Sex and the City, has shared that it has been pursuing negotiations with Warner Brothers Entertainment for acquiring Supernanny and Waterloo Road's producer Shed Media.
"There is no certainty that an offer will be not made nor as to the terms on which any offer might be made", stated the Company.
Warner Brothers Entertainment is a unit of Time Warner.
On Monday, shares in Shed Media surged by 5pc to 84p. The shares have risen by nearly 12pc in the past 6 months.
According to the Sunday times, the Company is planning to acquire Shed Media for sum worth £75m.
The latter posted a 24pc increase in its yearly pre-tax profit, contributed by reduced finance costs.
Shed Media also said that its officials are pursuing talks with the Warner Bros Entertainment.
There are speculations the Warner is planning to add Shed Media to its London Broadcasting centre. If the deal gets through, it will bring immense incomes to the former.
Sources say that Shed Media had been receiving proposals from other Companies as well, which include Tiger Aspect, Bowmark Capital and Darwin Private Equity.
