According to a recent report, the News Corp. is planning to purchase 61% stake in BSkyB. Sky is set to become richer due to its investment in broadband and HD. Its earnings are expected to become twice by the year 2012, with a sum of £1.2bn per year.

News Corp. will also get huge earnings from its operations in America. The reason behind it is that the rates of interests are less and the exchange rate prefers dollar buyers of sterling assets. Therefore, the Company is getting a chance to perk up its profits in relation to both quality and quantity. The chance to improve quality comes from the fact that the earnings from TV subscription are not being affected by recession.
