Word ‘Angel’ Causing Faith Discomfort
Michelle Taylor

Organizers have been told that all faiths do not believe in life after death and that their literature could cause offence.

But Michelle Taylor, who established the Essex-based Whisperers bereavement group, is stunned by the verdict.

She said that the word angel is not meant to have a religious sense, whatever. It is just a word that the kids are called by when they pass away. The word is beautiful and perfectly fits a kid.

The group offers special packs to bereaved families, which comprises of a handwritten letter addressed to the new angel parents and a declaration card for the arrival of an angel baby.

Jenny Collins, a Senior Midwife at Colchester Hospital, said that the staff is not happy about the use of the word angel on a card on the carrier giving details about Whisperers because it is suspected that it has the potential to upset some parents at what is an extremely emotional and sensitive time for them.

Not all religions have faith in angels and secular people definitely do not.

However, Whisperers ally, Ted Townsend said that it seems all live in a stupid world.

The NHS ought to be grateful to people like Whisperers, not make things uncomfortable.
