Doctor Maintains He is Innocent

A doctor, who was earlier charged with sexual assault in February 2008, has repeated that he did not do anything wrong or inappropriate, while examining his patients. He also admitted that he continued using the same approach, while examining young female patients alone at the    Golden Mile medical clinic.

Dr. Edward Poon felt whatever he was doing was correct. He was testifying at Regina Court of Queen's Bench. He is being charged for six charges of sexual assault and all of them are related to his female patients. All these incidents took place between February and March in the year 2008. He is being accused in three cases of sexual assault even after he was earlier charged with sexual assault.

The doctor has already declared that there was no sexual intention for these examinations. He would have told his patients the reason for these and explained the procedures to his patients in normal language.

The 60-year old doctor repeated his innocence and confirmed that he suffers from bi-polar disorder and he is also taking medication and psychiatric treatment for his condition.

He was questioned for two days by his lawyer, Aaron Fox.

Already six women have testified against Dr. Poon and that he spent a lot of time rubbing, stroking and playing with their breasts and vaginas for a long amount of time during their medical examination.
