The estate of Michael Jackson has made 1 billion dollar since his death

As per the estimates by the trade paper Billboard, the estate of Michael Jackson has made 1 billion dollar after his death.

According to the estimates of the magazine, the album sales of Michael Jackson have produced around 383 million dollar and the revenue from his film "This Is It" have generated about 400 million dollar.

This estimation includes the profits from licensing, publishing rights and touring. The contract for new recording is estimated to have generated 31 million dollar till now.

There is also a deal with the Sony Music Entertainment by which it will release 10 albums of the late pop king with in next seven years time. This also includes an unreleased album of MJ. It has been estimated that the deal with Sony will generate 200 to 250 million dollars. According to Billboard, the music publishing company of Michael Jackson, the Mijac has also a value of about 150 million dollars.

Estate of the pop king MJ also owns half of the music publishing company Sony/ATV. Other profits come from the DVD sales, downloads, ringtones and royalties.
