A cartoon by John Lennon with wife Yoko Ono, prepared in 1969 during their fix in Montreal, Canada has been sold for an amount worth £37,250.
At their peace dispute at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel, the cartoon was put on sale at Christie's in London.
In addition, a jacket which Michael Jackson used to wear brought in £22,500, on the occasion of his first dearth anniversary today.
Pete Townshend's guitar was sold for £22,500 at the same time.
Gibson SG guitar, which was an important wing of Who memorabilia, auctioned at this high level, for the first time, was utilized on The Who's 1971 journey.
The Who collection auctioned by the US collectors Brad and Diana Rodgers witnessed a collective inflow of more than £169,946.
Mr. Rodgers said that the auction was too impressive. He was delighted to the core.
"This sale demonstrates that the market for high end, one-of-a-kind material, is as strong as it has ever been", he said.
Jackson's black jacket was expected to be sold for an amount at least greater than £2,000.
Another Les Paul guitar shattered by Steve Jones, of the Sex Pistols was seen yielding £16,250.
