Patrick Swayze, the 'Dirty Dancing' star is beset with health problems, not only has he been battling with pancreatic cancer, but now hospitalized with pneumonia, he has been forced to pull out from promoting his new A&E series 'The Beast' at Friday's Television Critics Association press tour.
Apologising for Swayze's absence, A&E President Robert DeBitetto told the gathered critics that cancer treatment like chemotherapy takes an immense toll of the immune system, with illnesses becoming an unavoidable part.
Swayze, 56, stars as veteran FBI agent Charles Barker paired with rookie agent Ellis Dove (Travis Fimmel) in 'The Beast', who has been approached to become a double agent, by helping to investigate his mentor. And, you can bet everyone is rooting and praying for Swayze, who went public last May about his cancer diagnosis!
