Former manager of comedienne Joan Rivers sues her

The comedienne Joan Rivers has been sued for 2 million dollars by her former manager saying that she had defamed him in her documentary. The former manager Mr. William Sammeth has said in the legal papers alleging that she had defamed him in Joan Rivers “A Piece of Work”.

He has also submitted the list of the works of Rivers for which he is owed 10%.  

On the other hand, the 77 years old comedienne Ms Rivers has said that the employment of Mr. Sammeth was completely terminated in the year 2009 and he was not owed any money from her. In a document which was filed in the court in New York, the manager has said that her career was not in a great position when he joined her as personal manager in 2002.

Mr. Sammeth of Miami has also said that he had helped Ms Rivers a lot to win the US reality show named ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ last year. He has said that he had paid 18000 dollars for a charity which helped her so much to win that show.
