Tony Bennett to receive lifetime achievement award

At the Silver Clef awards of this year Tony Bennett is to receive a lifetime achievement award because of his career of 60 years as a recording artist. The 83 years artist has said that it was a very great feeling to be recognized at such a great event. Sir Cliff Richard and Rod Stewart are the former winners of the lifetime achievement title form Silver Clef.  

After getting this news, Mr. Bennett has said that he is feeling like he has joined a very special club. Sharon Osbourne will be the host at the awards for this year, which is to be held at the Hilton Hotel of London on 2nd July.

Bennett has released a new album named “The Ultimate American Songbook” earlier this year. He was also called as the best singer in the business by Frank Sinatra.

The singer will receive his award after performing two shows at the Royal Albert Hall at London on 30th June and 1st July. He has said that it is feeling good to come back UK to perform and receive the best award for my life.
