Dental emergencies are very problematic at times. They can be all the more troublesome when a person is on vacation. Therefore, it is necessary to plan in advance as it will be helpful in dealing with the pain.
According to an estimate from the U.S. Travel Association, in the months of June, July and August, Americans will take 330.6 million private family trips.
A survey conducted by Majestic Drug, reveals that every year, one in six people have a dental emergency. Majestic Drug has been providing dental and personal care products, since the year 1950.
Therefore, it is safe to imagine that some of these emergencies occurred, when people were vacationing. So, people should be prepared beforehand for such an emergency.
Scott Navarro, Vice President of Professional Services and Dental Director for Delta Dental of New Jersey, reveals that these emergencies cannot be prevented, but taking some safety measures before going on a holiday can considerably reduce the chances of their occurrence. It will also be instrumental in avoiding any long term harm to a person’s oral health.
These emergencies include toothaches and loosened or broken teeth. If a person has pain in the tooth then, it is recommended that he consults his physician as early as possible, in order to keep his teeth healthy.
