The caffeine quantity if increased may prove to be hazardous for teenagers and pregnant women.
It was as per the New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA) report if the intake of caffeine is increased it may result in irritability, anxiety, tremors, dizziness and insomnia.
It also reported that some people also felt the tremors of short-term anxiety after an intake of more than 3mg of caffeine on a daily basis.
The analysis of the finding states that children consume an over dosage of 73 percent caffeine through tea and coffee and the supposed quantity for caffeine should not go above two cups of caffeine resulting up to 400mg of caffeine in total says an health expert.
Professor John Birkbeck, professor of nutrition at Massey University stated: "The adverse effects of caffeine under these circumstances can be a serious problem. The NZFSA should seek ways to persuade industry to modify the marketing and even the composition of these drinks."
In light of this matter the health analyst came up with the solution to label the caffeine content and at the same time keep off from children, lactating women, or people sensitive to caffeine.
