Rural Doctors Association has appreciated a novel health program, calling it a progression towards the acknowledgement of the shortfall in the number of doctors in Western Australia.
Rural Health Workforce Strategy has been introduced in the region, today. It has provided new profits for the doctors in the region.
The medical experts would now be receiving maintenance payments worth $47,000 yearly.
Rob Whitehead, a member from the association said that the scheme will relax the concerns of Western Australia's regional health deficit.
"Over the last generation I think we've really struggled to attract young doctors to rural and remote areas in this state", he said.
The doctors will now be able to resolve the problems in the field as they will be provided the necessary amount of money.
The terms of the strategy, include speeding up of training of foreign doctors and medical students with a HECS debt.
Minister for Rural and Regional Health, Warren Snowdon, said that he is sure that the perks will do away the issues aroused due to the lack in the number of doctors in remote areas.
The sum will enable more than 2,400 doctors in Australia and 500 communities in transferring the pays.
