Microsoft Xbox 360 to Suffer Fall in Sales: DFC

DFC Intelligence, the analysis firm, has estimated that Xbox 360 is likely to lose its demands shortly. In the upcoming months, it is going to lose its market to rivals, added DFC.

"In terms of changing the overall video game hardware platform market share we see [Kinect] having a negligible impact", it wrote.

The statement added that although the demands are strong, as of now, the platform is destined to suffer a decline by next year.

The analysts said that the dip in the demand for 360 will not make many differences to Kinect.

The report said that Microsoft is associating itself with Kinect for the introduction of almost all of its devices in order to catch attention.

On a disappointing note, the report said that Microsoft will be running into losses due to the fall in the sales of 360.

As per the figures released on the performance of the gaming platforms in May, Nintendo enjoyed the lead, followed by NOA.

Observing this, Cammie Dunaway, said the customers are certainly appreciating the Wii configuration which also involves Wii Sports Resort and Wii MotionPlus accessories now.

In another devdlopment, two other games viz. Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Wii and Picross 3D for Nintendo DS were launched in May.
