Dell buys Allin’s Microsoft IT consulting biz for $12 millionComputer maker Dell Inc. has finally bought Allin's Microsoft IT consulting business, as well as its collaboration and business applications services business, in a $12 million stock deal.

The acquisition is expected to boost Dell's expertise in computer systems running Microsoft software, particularly its core infrastructure and business management applications.

Dell will take over Allin's operations in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, as well as San Jose and Walnut Creek, California. About 100 Allin employees will transfer to Dell.   

It may be noted that the acquisition however does not include Pittsburgh-based Allin's interactive media and business process consulting units.
