Best Buy employee faces suspension for iPhone spoof ads

A viral video spoof based on iPhone 4 and HTC EVO 4G has caused a suspension of a 25-year old Best Buy employee.

Brain Maupin, the employee of Best Buy at a branch in Missouri, had posted two YouTube videos in late June, and the first video gained 2 million viewers.

Each video imposes a ban upon the extremists of the two popular smartphones, but neither of them mentions Best Buy.

According to Maupin who said, "They felt it disparaged a brand they carried (iPhone/Apple) as well as the store itself and were fearful of stockholders & customers being turned off to Best Buy Mobile."

Maupin who refused to quit has asked for a valid reason to throw him out.

Via a statement from Maupin it was known that the video was intended to be comedic and not taken seriously at all.
