Bevan Winter outlined his significant achievement in losing weight on Close Up after participating in a local weight loss program.
A year ago, the man scrambled to walk to the letterbox and faced a potential problem of sleep apnoea.
The 218kg weighted Bevan was told by the doctors that he was on the verge of being engulfed by chronic health issues, if he did not rise to change him in wake of it.
Soon, he realized the seriousness of the issue and immediately enrolled for a local weight loss program, grabbing advantage of Government funding, rather than seeking for an immediate solution.
His perseverance made him to lose 60kg and he now feels "a million bucks".
Bevan's dietician Lea Stenning told Close Up that it is all Bevan's hard work and all the effort that paid him and is responsible for transforming his life.
"During a year we changed his diet from controlling his portions and looking more at quantities and also looking at attitudes about foods. But most of all it has taken his own determination and courage”, Lea quoted. "He has been a startling success and we're very really proud of him.”
Bevan revealed that he was jittery to opt for a gastric bypass and was landed in a situation where he needs to make a choice between surgery and more conventional and ordinary means of losing weight.
