After gaining its leadership position back in the Indian market, the luxury carmaker, Mercedes-Benz India is in no mood to stay complacent and hence is looking forward to launch the much-awaited SLS AMG in the Indian market on the July 16th.
While the company will be launching the product in the Capital, it is to be mentioned here that the company showcased the model at the 10th auto expo in January this year.
Expected to be launched at an expensive price tag of over Rs. 2 crore, the company expects that it will set new standards as far as the Indian luxury car market is concerned. The company also said that it has a lot more surprises for the Indian consumer in the current year and it will like to consolidate its position at the top slot in the coming months.
However, rivals like BMW and Audi are also catching up fast. Notably, Audi is striving hard to become the largest selling luxury carmaker in the Indian market by 2015.
Moreover, BMW has been able to gain instant acceptance in just four years of its operations in the Indian market.
