BBC Revamps Website, Focuses on Social Networking

According to a report presented by Tech Radar, BBC’s website is all set for a revamp, as the broadcaster is planning to develop coordination with social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.

The basic aim for the broadcaster in the move, is the allowing the readers to share a particular news content on its website with their friends.

BBC News is one of the most widely visited website across the UK. The revamp will see the website getting connected with the top-notch social networking websites, said Steve Hermann, the Editor of BBC News.

He posted a blog last week, indicating towards the revamping move. He said that the redesigning of the website will be observed for the first time, at such a high scale, since 2003.

"We have focused on design and navigation, looking to see how we can make all the existing content we produce easier for you to find and share", he said.

The changed website will see the main menu appearing on the page top.

The number of video stories available on the site will be increased and it will be accompanied with new video player having better playback ability.
